The Outside Inn

Close to everything, but you’ll feel far away - around the corner from the beautiful Prairie Oaks Metro Park, and a quick drive to OSU, Hilliard, Dublin, and Columbus. A perfect, rustic spot for you or your out of town visitors to have a space of their own. Relax with the wood-burning stove, propane fire pit on the private deck, or fish in the 2-acre pond on the property. This property is on our land, but separate from our home; have privacy and your own space to park. No smoking or events.

Welcome to country living! We live on a serene 12 acre lot in the country just minutes from I-70 (Exit 79 E bound/Exit 85 W bound). There is a beautiful nature/walking trail next to the property. In 35 minutes, you can be on The Ohio State University campus as well as the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

This historic structure was originally a 2-story log home built in 1813. The home was used as an Inn or tavern along the Old Federal Road leading from Columbus to Springfield. In 2020, the decision was made to disassemble the second floor of the original cabin and then reassemble it on a new foundation with walk-out basement. This rebuilt cabin overlooks Deer Creek and a 50 plus acre wetlands area. The property is 1 mile from I-70 and is only a 30-minute drive to Columbus, OH.
