Moose & Merlin Glamping Cabin

This cabin is a palace for seasoned campers and glamping for people who are not as outdoorsy. Comfy queen bed, a mini wood stove, and a unique style made from scratch by a thrifty woman and her carpenter dad. There is electricity. The kitchen is simple: No running water but a sink and water provided. No fridge but a cooler and endless ice packs available. No wifi in the cabin itself but available a short walk away. There is cell service. An outhouse 25 seconds away. Shower available by request.

The Sawmill

Nestled in a basin of mountains, rivers and ocean, The Saw Mill is a remote, rustic, historic home amidst the Cape Breton Highlands. Built in 1867, it is the second oldest house in Pleasant Bay and has been many different things to the community throughout the years, including: a post office, a general store, one of the first school teachers and of course, a sawmill. A winding trail from the house leads you directly to Red River Beach, a community beach with ocean and river access.
