Settlers' Rest lodge is situated on a privately-run game in the malaria-free bushveld of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It offers a home away from home and is an ideal destination for the whole family to get back to nature. Settlers' Rest is only 30km from Grahamstown and easily accessible to most vehicles. The farm sports a large variety of indigenous game and birds. Self-drive, hike or cycle around the farm or relax on our veranda with breath-taking views over the Eastern Cape bush.

Suitable for groups or individuals looking for a peaceful, country getaway, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling or simply relaxing. The house is completely off grid. Sparkling spring water is supplied to the house and fills the indoor solar heated pool. Evening sunsets are spectacular. The space is ideal for family gatherings. It is also suitable as a retreat centre.
