The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Enjoy the comfort of a wood fire and split system, fully equiped kitchen, and expansive views from the open plan living area. Wonderfully private and secluded considering its convenient central location, and featuring all modern appliances. Perfect for all occasions, a quirky yet comfortable gem in the heart of Castlemaine.

Historic Bowes Cottage

A beautiful, historic stone cottage in the heart of the gold fields. simply modernised to maintain an old world ambience and eclectically furnished with family heirloom furniture and special interest collections. It's the way we like it and I'm sure our guests will too. Come for a relaxing weekend, winter or summer, enjoying the surrounding nature and wildlife. Fully equipped small kitchen, central bathroom, lovely large old rambling garden with enclosing wire fences. Kids and dogs welcome.

Ironbark provides guests complete privacy in a stand-alone 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property which offers rural views of the 40 acre property from every room. A walking track is at the door for a lovely walk to Wesley hill Saturday market or continue on to explore nearby Castlemaine with it's wonderful Architecture and vibrant café and arts culture. The property consists of a main cottage & two beautiful sandstone cottages "North" & "South". These two can be let out separately or together. Both cottages have super comfy king size beds & each is unique in character.
