Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!

This comfortable yet stylish open plan studio is situated in the suburb of Larola which has 24hour security patrol. The studio is on the same property as the main house and shares a driveway with the main house. The studio has beautiful mountain views from the doube glass sliding doors. The studio is 900m from the nearest restaurants and shops and approximately 1.5km from the central village square. Although the studio does have wifi, signal may be erratic. Netflix only, no DSTV

Topaz - Gypsy Guesthouse Clarens

Topaz is a luxurious, romantic unit, perfect for two people requiring a bit of extra space The Topaz unit is self catering with a separate, fully equipped open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with wood burning fireplace. The large wooden bedroom door leads out onto the patio and peaceful garden. The unit has its own entrance, is serviced daily, has Wi-Fi . Braai facilities. Topaz can be combined with Magenta to form a two bedroom unit, perfect for 4 people.

Clarens Villa Apartment

This unique place has a style all its own. One bedroom en-suite apartment joined to a main house with self catering facilities. The living area is heated by a wood burning fire place and the bedroom en-suite has an air conditioner. Braai facilities on site as well as a Smart TV with DSTV and WiFi. Two to three kms from the centre of town, on a mountain side. It is the bottom level of a three storey house but completely private and not affected by loadshedding.

Groeneveld farm retreat

A simple retreat situated in an artist's garden under the Drakensberg Mountains. Stay in a thatched rondavel with own shower and toilet, decorated with touches of South-African art and craft. Security is provided by our friendly dogs and an electric fence. WiFi is available. Activities in the area include hikes, cycling, rafting and The Drakensberg boys Choir, all within a 30-45 min drive. The nearest restaurant is in Winterton , 5 min away.

Private spacious one bedroom cottage, large sitting area with huge fire place for those cold winter days and kitchen. Lovely patio outside leading from the bedroom and sitting room. Braai under the stars or Weber on the patio for those rainy days. Safe also to bring your well-behaved pets.

Cute, cosy and comfortable accommodation. Fully equipped small space just for two. Ikhaya on the R616 offers a fantastic base to explore the Drakensberg area and its many activities. (Approx an hours drive away from the Northern and Central Bergs) Come and experience some Traditional South African farmhouse Hospitality. Welcome "pack" of coffee, tea & sugar available in the kitchenette.

Rose Garden Cottage

Sitting in the shade of a 150 year old Elm tree with a view of Platberg Mountain and sleeping in one of Harrismith’s historical landmarks is a treat. Harrismith is the gem of the Free State, the gateway to the Drakensberg. You can fly fish on uncrowded waters, bird along forgotten back roads or just enjoy the peace and quiet of a country town.

This flat has all you will need. Comprising of a bedroom with a double bed, a lounge, bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. Small kitchenette with sink, 2 plate gas stove, fridge and all crockery and cutlery. An outdoor patio with seating allows you to enjoy the garden.
