There is a large deck and huge yard for gathering with friends and family for outdoor games or a barbecue. Enjoy the kayaks, paddle board, take a swim and soak up the sun. Fish from the dock or bring your own boat! There is shuffleboard and other yard games. Check out the nearby fun places to visit. There is something for everyone. Get back to nature at Stella Matutina Farm’s Moon Flower Yurt. Located on a 10 acre , working Biodynamic farm in the heart of the Waterloo Recreation Area. The yurt sits in its own private space in the forest. Visit the farm animals, historic barn and vegetable gardens. Fire pit, outhouse with compost toilet, outdoor solar shower, and woodstove in the yurt. Visit the quaint towns of Grass Lake and Chelsea or go swimming in one of several nearby lakes. Mountain bike and hiking trails close by.

Additionally, Doyle's, a party store, is conveniently located nearby. The house also offers access to the 7-mile Spirit Trail, which loops around the lake.

Welcome to the Yurt at Waterloo. This is a 16 ft’ Yurt. There is very nice separate outhouse. We are nestled in the woods only 1.5 miles from Portage Lake Campground. With swimming, boating, fishing, disc golf, etc. We are surrounded by thousands of miles of trails in the Waterloo Conservation area. Plenty of privacy for campfire nights and deck lounging while enjoying the sounds of nature. You will not find more private camping and serenity!
