The house near the tower

The house is located in Marta, a charming town on Lake Bolsena. It is built on the remains of a '500 fortress and offers a superb view of the lake. Is near the tower. The 100 sq.m are divided between a ground floor (with lounge/living room with fireplace, kitchenette, dining area, bathroom, small terrace with table and chairs overlooking the hills of Marta); a spiral staircase leads to the upper floor with one double bedroom with view of the lake, two single bedrooms with view of the hills, one toilet with shower. All ceilings have wooden beams. Strategically located in the area called Tuscia (in the Lazio region) which shares borders with Tuscany and Umbria, Marta is locaed only...km from medioeval town Viterbo; numerous other hitorical sites are at an ideal distance for one-day excursions. Swimming in the lake is possible from spring to autumn and beaches such as Montefiascone, Gradole and Bolsena have quite a number of small restaurants and trattoria which offer excellent food and wine. Boat excursions are organized from Montefiascone to the Bisentine Island, famous for its Farnese Palace which was built by XVI century architect Antonio da Sangallo. For those who are fans of thermal tourism, the Terme dei Papi, some 20 min. drive from Viterbo, are a real treat. More spas are located in the province of Siena, some 40/45 min. drive from Marta (Bagno Vignoni, San Filippo Bagni, S. Casciano dei Bagni). The landscape in that region is superb. Numerous other excursions can be organized depending on whether you are interest in art or Italian food specialties. In the Lazio region special mention deserve BAGNOREGIO, perched on a high tuff cliff;TUSCANIA, famous Etruscan town which boasts two beautiful Romanesque churches (S. Pietro and S Maria Maggiore); VULCI, another archaeological site located close to a famous Etruscun necropolis. Close by is a small lake immortalized in films by directors suh as Wim Wender and Zeffirell. You cannot miss ORVIETO, in the Umbria region, with its famous gothic cathedral. Finally, if you decide to stretch out to the Tirreno Sea, do not miss the Tuscan Maremma, the natural Reserves of Lake Burano and Capalbio, all a real treat. Situata sotto le mura che costeggiano la Rocca dei Papi, si affaccia sul bellissimo Lago di Bolsena, dove si possono ammirare tramonti mozzafiato; a pochi passi dal centro storico. Raggiungibili a piedi tutti i servizi. Ubicata a pian terreno, con una cornice di travi a vista e pietra naturale con cucina attrezzata funzionale, camera matrimoniale, divano letto, bagno con doccia, lavatrice e asciugatrice. Completa la casa una splendida cantina da ammirare solo dall'esterno. Animali non ammessi.

Amazing country house immersed in the vineyard of Cantina Lapone, viewing Orvieto. Recently restored, over 100 sm, organised on two floors. Ground floor is a single space with a big living room (with fireplace) and a spacious open kitchen. First floor with two bedrooms and two bathrooms: the main bedroom (looking at Orvieto) with a double bed and internal bathroom and a second one with a double bed and a bed sofa. Private garden and parking. Private pool (shared with another 4 guests house).

Bolsena House

This is our vacation home in beautiful Bolsena. We rent it out when we do not use it ourselves. This view is from our rooftop terrace. It overlooks the Santa Cristina Basilica and Bolsena lake - the largest lake of volcanic origin in Europe. Our house is located in the center of the old town, only a few minutes walk from the waterfont with its charming marina, peaceful beaches and numerous good restaurants. Pets are allowed upon request.

Il rustico si trova a 4 km da Castell'Azzara, immerso nel verde di un oliveta composta da 38 ulivi e alberi da frutto e circondato da terreni boschivi e pascoli di proprietà, si affaccia sulla valle offrendo una vista mozzafiato a 180° partendo a nord con la Fortezza di Radicofani fino a scendere verso ovest per perdersi all'orizzonte tra i Monti Sibillini. Distante 300 mt dalla strada provinciale è raggiungibile da una strada bianca.

The house is a fully restored 14th century palazzo with impeccable design, connected to underground caves, etruscan thombs and a Roman water cistern. The house and its surrounding and views are very special and it is a very unique experience to stay here!
