Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Trade in the city sounds for the tranquility of Abiqua Creek. You'll enjoy the newly remodeled cabin located between two favorite local swimming holes. Please note that access to the river is less than three minutes down the road to the right/left of the cabin. This home features a fantastic front porch to drink your coffee on and a large backyard! Both Silver Falls State Park and Abiqua Falls are under 20mi from this location and worth the trip.

Designed around a custom moving window wall system, it opens fully to the outdoors, bringing the mountain right into your stay for unforgettable sunrises, sunsets, and true Mt. Hood magic.

Drive down a long private road, set off of the HWY, to find a riverfront cabin amidst the lush Willamette National Forest. As you wind through the driveway you will find a sanctuary for relaxation, recreation, and comfort. A trail from the back deck will lead you down to the bank of the emerald waters of the McKenzie River. The McKenzie River Trail parallels the property, and is accessed from the private road to the cabin. The property has a campground setting, with river and forest views.

Come relax and enjoy your own personal hot tub on a private deck overlooking a garden, and a fire pit run by remote control. The living area, dining, bathroom, and sleeping areas are upstairs and are an open loft. This property is on a dead end road surrounded by privately owned timber tree farm. It has river frontage along the the Roaring River. It has a private picnic area along the river to enjoy the sun and shade during the day.

The Hideout | A Modern Tiny Cabin Near Mt. Hood

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.
