Our cottage sits above Lake Washington with a beautiful water view. A peaceful respite, yet so close to the city. You can barbeque on the deck and watch the boats go by as ospreys fish in the little marina just below. Walk or ride bikes along Lake Wa. Blvd. to Seward Park offering its old-growth forest and pretty lakeside loop just one mile away. A short walk takes you to coffee shops and vibrant Columbia City is just 1.4 miles away with a convenient light rail station in the center of town.

Located on the first floor of a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom mid-century house, complete with original architectural details, period furniture, a working stereo system and a small collection of LPs to get you in the groove. The space overlooks a secluded yard of old growth trees, stone paths and patio. Queen bed, WiFi, full kitchen, private bathroom with shower, combo washer/dryer, and a queen-size pull-out sofa bed in living room. Mercer Island is fantastic to bicycle – we’ve provided 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes, along with helmets. Exploring the gorgeous Pacific Northwest is so easy from here; Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula, the San Juan Islands are all within 2 hours.

Welcome to our cozy guesthouse ADU located in the walkout basement of our newly built home. A quiet & safe neighborhood with quick access to highways 405 and 520. You can easily explore nearby Bellevue, Kirkland and the greater Seattle area. Please note, our Airbnb is located beneath our kitchen. We want to be upfront & transparent about this to set accurate expectations. Our weekdays start at 6.30/7am and you may hear us walking in the kitchen if you're sensitive to noise.

The cottage is a private, self-contained unit, featuring a well-stocked kitchenette, tiled shower, bedroom loft with french doors opening onto a deck, flat screen TV, DVD player, wifi, Bluetooth wireless speaker, and off street parking. Dog weight limit 25 pounds. Noise may be an issue for some due to airplanes. Stairs to the loft are steep. We are also located on a steep hill. We provide coffee/tea, juice, and some snacks. Everyone is welcome here.
