We are in a residential area however we are are in the perfect location for our guests to experience Bike Park Wales, the Taff Trail and the beauty of the Brecon Beacons and so many other great places.

This bright and modern old miners cottage is a self contained home which includes 3 bedrooms and a practical bathroom on the first floor. Meanwhile the ground floor contains a kitchen and a large living/dining area with lots of light. The garden includes a lock up area for 6 bikes, where padlocks can be added as well as a place to sit to have a drink and relax. WIFI is FREE! James' Place@Dowlais offers 7 individually and creatively styled self-catering studios. They are ideally placed for exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park, visiting Bike Park Wales, Zip World South or working away from home. We are dog friendly and there is a £20 charge per dog per stay. In addition we are happy for bikes to be stored in the main hall under the stairs if you bring chain and padlock or taken into your studio providing they are clean.

We can accommodate up to eight guests with secure bike storage inside the property. If you require additional space we have a second property 2 mins walk away, sleeping up to 8 guests (Gethin Lodge). Bike hire and guided rides around the Brecon Beacons are available on request.

Miners cottage, nr Brecon Beacon

Our miners cottage has bags of character which we have worked hard to keep, but has all the modern bits we rely on for our home comforts. Low ceilings, open beams in the bedrooms, stone stairs, log burner, welsh slate kitchen floor, but also has internet smart telly all the channels nice big range, power shower, new combo boiler. And 3 large settees to chill out, with two car parking spaces outside the door. What more do you need ?
