DD2 Charming Getaway: Karoo Cottage & Garden

Escape to our stylish cottage in the heart of Prince Albert, Groot Karoo. This charming getaway boasts a spacious room with a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom (and floor-bed for a small child and cot for a smaller child). Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and unwind in your private garden oasis on a comfortable stoep. Dream On is a bright, spacious, stylishly decorated cottage with breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and farmlands of Prince Albert. Enjoy splendid sunrises and sunsets from the veranda, relaxing at the beautiful pool and braai, and warming yourself at the indoor fireplace in winter. Dream On is a stroll away from town. It is a perfect base for cycling, hiking and exploring Prince Albert and the surrounding countryside. Welcome, and relax in this picturesque, elegant private haven.

Oasis Cottage in Merweville

H Oasis cottage is a 2 bedroom home. It’s got a magical outside living area consisting of beds to have those lazy afternoon sleeps. Fabulous Braai and fire pit for those great evening meals and special times under the stars. We do have a little plunge pool, but please be aware that especially in winter it is empty as we are in a water crisis sadly. We have bicycles you can ride around the village. A restaurant just down the road called Die Boekklub with Delicious food!

The Olive Thrush Cottage

The Olive Thrush Cottage is on a small-holding at the edge of town and offering views of a freshwater dam with lots of bird life. The Cottage is peaceful and tranquil, a few minutes’ walk from the beautiful Karoo countryside, yet only a 10-minute walk from the shops and restaurants in Prince Albert. Prince Albert is the prettiest of all Karoo towns. Prince Albert is nestled at the foot of the majestic Swartberg Mountains, at the very edge of the Great Karoo.

This stylish house is perfect for group and family trips. Cool off in the pool after exploring the town or cook a delicious meal together in the open plan kitchen. Fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable getaway. We have specifically kept this house off the grid, no television or WiFi. Take the time to unwind, unplug, relax, enjoy the desert air and star filled skies. For those who need to stay connected, the cell phone reception works well.

Elfen House is equipped with an inverter and backup battery, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to stay connected to the internet, as well as access to lights and TV. This guesthouse is an elegant establishment featuring two bedrooms, accommodating up to four guests, located in the heart of Prince Albert. The guesthouse boasts two en-suite bathrooms and a private plunge pool, providing a delightful retreat for guests to enjoy during warm Karoo days.

The Farmhouse

Beautiful & comfortable heritage farmhouse in the historic town of Prince Albert. Quiet and peaceful surrounds, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Large garden full of fruit trees and birds. Please note that most of our guests who book for one night regret not staying longer, so we do recommend longer stays if you have the time!

Kalkfontein Cottage

This beautiful self catering cottage is situated on Grootwaterval farm, situated 45 km from Prince Albert. It is a dirt road to the farm. Here one can enjoy the peace and quiet only a Karoo farm can offer. The cottage is built with rock, has a patio, fire-pit and BBQ facilities. It caters for 2 adults.

Olive Grove Cottage

Olive Grove Cottage is a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom self-contained cottage with its own barbeque, boma and outside sitting and dining areas. The cottage is centrally located and within easy walking distance from all amenities.
