Perfect getaway in this countryside cottage nestled in nature but walking distance to town center. Spend some relaxing time watching the creak run by, walk or bike (provided/bring own) on the 26mi flat scenic Harlem Valley Rail Trail from the cottage. Enjoy the evening sitting by the fire/comfortable patio. Visit the 60’s themed movie theater and restaurant walking distance, near by brewery/winery/cafe/restaurants, wedding venues, Lime Rock Racing, skiing. Direct train to Wassaic from MetroNorth

(Hudson Valley) Laughing Duck Cottage

Located in the bucolic Hudson Valley, this new, gut-renovated cottage isn't far from many of the area's most loved spots. In the winter you can wander trails and get cozy by our electric fireplace. In the spring you can picnic your way through historic sites and enjoy a glass of local wine on our back deck. In the summer you can ride a horse and cook with seasonal ingredients from local farms. In the fall you can hike through the Hudson Valley's perfect colors and sip hot cider on our back deck.

Amenia Main St Cozy Studio

Cozy studio in well maintained house from 1900. 150 sq ft with full size bed. Unit is comfortable for one, tight for two. Right in small town of Amenia. Front porch with seats/table. Walking to food, shops, drive-in movie theatre, and rail trail. Trail is 1/4 mile from house, paved and only allows walking/biking. On trail: Arts village Wassaic (3 miles south) Millerton (8 miles north). Train to NYC is 2.5m south. Tons in area: wineries, distillery, lakes, hiking, theatre & quaint towns.

Our historic street also features 1700s homes and a farm/brewery.

Shops, farmers market, restaurants, Tribute Garden, are all in town. Rhinebeck, Millerton, Beacon, and Pine Plains are a 30 min drive, Poughkeepsie is 20 minutes away. This historic Clinton Hollow house was built by Isaac Fraleigh in the late 1700's and overlooks the waterfalls of Wappingers Creek. The house has the architectural details of an antique colonial and the open, spacious feel of a modern contemporary. The great room with its big fireplace has different vibes and seating areas and is just perfect for family and friends gathering. The Petanque field in the garden add a fun convivial activity.
