Historic 1880 Settler Cabin, Merryweather Farm

Merryweather Farm is a peaceful place on the open prairie. We raise organic garlic, apples, orchard pork, free-range chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and charming, lovable dogs and cats. Our goal is to provide a true pioneer experience with just a bit of comfort added. 1880 Norwegian Settlers Cabin is not modernized, attached barn has been rebuilt into uninsulated screen porch. Cabin has great old iron bed, loft has twin bed, screened in porch has day bed. Private modern bath included.

This spacious studio apartment includes a full kitchen and laundry along with your own private entrance, queen size bed and plenty of floor space. Public parking lots are used for overnight parking. *note you will risk being ticketed if you park on main street overnight

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located "castle house." It is located within walking distance to downtown (YMCA, library, theater, schools, parks, & churches) and is less then 2 miles from the high school and hockey arena. This has been a wonderful undertaking, preparing my rental house into an Airbnb.
