Below the Books, Beside the Lake

Located in the center of Main St., on Mirror Lake, Below the Books, Beside the Lake is a lakefront, 2 BR, 1 bath. apt. We have a fully equipped kitchen, but if you don't feel like cooking, one of Lake Placid's busiest restaurants is located right next door. There is in-floor heat in the bathroom, a full-size washer and dryer and the bedrooms have wall-mounted AC. You will have your own private deck with gas grill, and access to Mirror Lake. The Red Cabin at Split Rock

Our cabin provides comfort, privacy and a convenient base for exploring nearby Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and the surrounding area. A historic ice house dating back to the early 1900s, the cabin has been renovated to feature a cozy loft, bathroom and comfortable indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Nestled in a quiet, wooded setting with easy access to hiking trails, paddling, and local shops, it’s the perfect retreat for couples, solo travelers, or small families seeking a peaceful getaway.

The Covered Bridge Cottage- Ausable Riverfront

Situated directly by the Ausable River and surrounded by beautiful vineyards and gardens you will be immersed in nature at any time if the year. It's sure to restore the soul. The gentle rumble of the river is ever present as you look out over the natural beauty. During the summer cool off in the river and come back to the screened in porch for an evening meal. In the winter fire up the pellet stove and get cozy. 15 minutes to Whiteface and Keene and 25 Minutes to Lake Placid.

Waterfront Loft

This private guest space in the second floor of our garage has it's own entrance, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom in a very convenient location. We are 5 minutes from Saranac Lake, 10 Minutes from Lake Placid, and 25 minutes from Whiteface. Located on a peninsula of Oseetah Lake, we have waterfront access perfect for ice skating, snowshoeing and XC skiing in the winter right from our doorstep. The lake offers sweeping views of Ampersand and the surrounding mountains.
