There is also a private beach, boat docks & launch all for our guests. Fish from the riverbank & enjoy all the River has to offer! Close to hiking, skiing, casinos & shopping in Galena IL.

Pet friendly, 2 BR close to Mississippi River

This comfortable home is a 2 BR 1 BA with a full kitchen, and off street parking. It is 1 block away from the Mississippi River and within walking distance to local shops, restaurants bars, parks, and walking trails. The local grocery store is located directly across the street. Well behaved pets are welcome. The backyard is completely fenced in. NO SMOKING INSIDE. As stated in the other notes section, we are located along the Canadian Pacific Railroad and there will be trains going by.

It's a short distance (less than 2 min. walk) from the parking area to this quiet, private, 12'x14' one-room cedar cabin set on a pasture with picture-window view of wooded bluffs and stream, birds and other wildlife. Writing table and chair, glider rocker, woodstove, and gas cookstove. Solar-powered desk lamp. Port-a-potty and solar shower outside (summer only). Fire pit and outdoor seating.

Brick walkway leads to the cedar deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the large backyard. Enjoy dinner out on the deck and roast marshmallows over a bonfire at the firepit. The dark sky provides excellent stargazing. Kitchen features full-sized refrigerator, cooking utensils and a variety of spices. Spacious bathroom with a waterfall-style shower. Owners are next door. River and marina short block away within walking distance. Grocery store half a block away within walking distance. Downtown less than a mile. Galena about half hour. Iowa 5 min away and casino in Iowa 20-25 min. Palisades State Park 5 min away. This is a cozy cottage with use of deck and grill, and full amenities to cook in house if you like. This cabin is located on the serene backwaters of the Mississippi. It is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway, or ideal spot to rent for fishing tournament‘s or duck hunting. This cabin is situated next to pool 13, and there is plenty of space for multiple vehicles and boats to park. Only half a mile away from the loading dock and close by to an Illinois State Park, our cabin allows Guests to enjoy nature in a relaxed setting.

Savanna Vista - Entire Home

Enjoy beautiful views of Savanna, the Mississippi River, and sunsets all from the front room. Savanna Vista is situated overlooking Savanna; restaurants, grocery stores, and entertainment are all a short stroll away. The Palisades State Park is only a short 5 minute drive further north . The trailhead of the 62 mile Great River bike trail begins 7 blocks away. Or stay at home and enjoy the green space in the back of the house.

Cute Little Country Guest House

An old barn/machine shed transformed into a great little rustic retreat (which we affectionately call "Westhaven")! A great secluded place to get away from the day-to-day grind. Hiking trails on the premises. About 5 miles from civilization (town). Come unwind! FRIENDLY DOGS WELCOME (we speak fluent WOOF! :-) ) (Please NO cats!)
