Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

Il terrazzo offre un tavolo e il grill per piacevoli pranzi e cene avvolti da un suggestivo panorama. Bellissimo bilocale in un edificio rustico del sedicesimo secolo appena restaurato. E' molto silenzioso: si raggiunge a piedi per un breve sentiero. La casa si trova al centro dell' antico borgo medievale di Rivoira, accanto al forno a legna della comunità e vicino all'antico torchio per la spremitura dell'uva. L'abitato si trova ad un'altezza di circa 500 metri all'imbocco della Valle Vigezzo, e l'edificio si affaccia sulla splendida vallata dell'Ossola, di fronte al Moncucco e a Domobianca.

"La casetta nel bosco" è un ambiente immerso nel verde dei castagni e dei tigli, per "ascoltare la natura che parla" ma anche la musica (casse acustiche in ogni piano, anche all'aperto) e lasciarsi cullare da momenti di vita lenta, semplice, autentica. Si trova in un piccolo villaggio alpino da cui si parte per raggiungere altri villaggi e località, a piedi e in auto. Il giardino a uso esclusivo con area pranzo, barbecue, piscina, ombrelloni e sdraio è molto amato. E' presente Wi-Fi.

The house has many windows and sun in charming position above the village of Maggia overlooking the waterfall of the Valle del Salto, nestled in a tropical garden, fully fenced and with a small swimming pool. Close to the house there is the possibility to swim in the river or at the waterfall. Recommended for people seeking tranquility, hikers and in search for privacy and contact with nature. The accommodation is an old restored stable, aged 1672, used for the horse change. The village is close to the most important ski resorts of Ossola Valley, Monte Rosa, Premia Spa with hot springs, Toce Waterfall and Lake Maggiore.
