Woodend Retreat nestled in the heart of Speyside

A beautiful and tranquil setting, you will find it peaceful and relaxing. Facilities include a double bed in the main bedroom which can be split into two single beds, and a sofa bed in the lounge area. The property is a converted attic space and therefore has a sloping ceiling so be careful not to bump your head! We are in the heart of the Whisky Trail with many distilleries nearby, so a visit and a wee dram is a must! OTHER ACTIVITIES - FISHING, CYCLING, WALKING, HIKING and BEAUTIFUL BEACHES

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

Self check-in is available if required. Self contained annex with spacious, south facing bedroom with access out to the garden which guests can use. We are 2 minutes walk from the river and can direct you to nearby hills and lochs where scenic walks can be enjoyed. There is a cosy, friendly pub just round the corner which serves home cooked meals all day. They welcome "muddy boots, kids and dogs". We are dog friendly too so please feel free to bring your well behaved dog along.

Our guest suite extension to our house is a self-contained area with 1 double bedroom (can be twin beds), 1 shower room and a kitchen/lounge room. The suite has under-floor central heating. Our property has a large garden and a patio area and there is a dedicated off-road parking space for guests. We are in a rural setting, 1 mile from the centre of Aboyne, 30 miles from Aberdeen; ideal location for touring Deeside, South Aberdeenshire and the Cairngorm National Park.

A wonderful old family home that is the perfect spot for peace in nature, fishing, Castles & Whisky, hill-walking, local festivities/history (Forbes in particular) and a really good night's sleep. Enjoy the house itself or the 12 acres of mostly woodlands at our doorstep. Climb to the top of Ben Newe (right out the back door!) Private annex within a 6 bedroom detached house situated near the edge of Elgin. Close to forest for lovely walks and within walking distance of tesco and local corner shops. Smith Drive is a quiet residentual area. Elgin is close to several beaches and 10 mins from RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss. Baxters and Walkers are within a half hour drive and we are in the heart of Speyside so ideal for the whisky trails. Our place is ideal for a couple, with a pet.
