The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

A fully self- contained studio at the edge of Castlemaine Diggings National Park nestled in it's own secluded court yard with sprawling permaculture gardens and green space surrounding it. Located 7kms from central Castlemaine, 2.5kms from Expedition Pass Reservoir- the favourite local swimming spot- and a central place for exploring the Goldfields Trails.

There is a comfortable queen bed. Open plan sitting room with dining table, kitchenette and a beautiful bathroom. Your own deck to sit back and enjoy the sounds of the birds.

“The Studio Behind the House With The Yellow Door” is a well-established AIRBNB in Castlemaine. It is a complete self-contained guest house; open plan lounge, kitchenette, separate bedroom, bathroom/toilet with shower. Stylishly designed and decorated. Light and airy, yet very private. We don't list "breakfast provided," but we do add bread and milk (gluten and dairy free if requested) and lots of other things to make a light breakfast. Your new hosts are Randall and Helen and Millie.

The Little Barn, French inspired 1 bedroom haven

Welcome to the Little Barn situated in quiet cul-de-sac a 1km stroll from the hub of Maldon’s shops and cafes. Drive down the driveway & the picturesque grove of silver birch trees to the charming cottage with private entrance. Past the little sitting area, perfect spot for a late afternoon wine or cuppa and through the French doors to a light filled living area with soaring cathedral ceiling and a comfortable French- Hamptons vibe. Sit back in front of the lovely wood heater and relax .

Myrtle Creek Cottage

Down a country lane on the banks of Myrtle Creek and opposite the old red brick church, this completly private and self sufficient cottage attached to the main house is set in quiet paddocks where old red gums cast deep shade. Built in 2024 as an extension to our sustainable house, there is a stylish full kitchen and bathroom. A couple of Golden Retrievers are love and affection on legs and walks in the granite country are special. Or you can head to Bendigo, Castlemaine or local wineries

Sandon Ridge Studio

A little piece of history, set on 4 acre surrounded by Green Gully creek & tucked under the Sandon ridge. The original stone dwelling (circa 1853) was running as the Sandon Tavern until around 1910, the second dwelling (Studio) built approximately 20 years ago has a beautiful large living room with fire place, entertaining courtyard with pizza oven & two beautiful bedrooms. It is the perfect weekend get-away to relax & explore the local surrounds of Castlemaine, Daylesford & Maldon.

School House was built in Lauriston in the 1860's and was later transported to central Kyneton. Honouring the original character and charm, it has been beautifully restored and is surrounded by your own private garden, veranda, BBQ and entertainment area. School House has private entry. Studio-style with one large room consisting of a queen bed, single sofa-bed, lounge and modern kitchen and bathroom. School House has everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay.
