The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. You will stay in an efficiency apartment above our detached garage. Which is in a quiet location (although occasionally our dogs bark when outside). We have received many positive reviews and have hosted for seven summers; we proudly earned SuperHost status after our first season of hosting. Come enjoy a few days of solitude

We are 28 miles from Bar Harbor & 13 miles from Acadia at Schoodic in a coastal fishing community on busy Schoodic National Scenic Byway. History buffs will love stepping back in time in this historic 2nd floor space with old world feel & vintage furnishings. We make sure you have a clean & comfortable & welcoming space-no new things but it does have scenic views of Frenchman Bay & Cadillac Mountain seen through classic Second Empire windows (space is not suitable for infants or young children).

Hiking trails are less than a mile away and plenty of fresh and salt water access nearby. Outside table and chairs surrounded by trees, birds and gardens in a quiet, safe neighborhood at the end of a short dirt road. Enjoy total privacy or ask your hosts for local knowledge. All one room, with kitchenette, queen bed, futon couch, and fold out single bed.

Tucked away on a private lane less than 3 miles from MDI, you'll have easy access to its towns, hiking trails, and beautiful carriage roads all within a lovely 15-30 min drive. After a day of hiking, biking, or exploring the sights, you'll find respite back at True North! Adults only/not child-proofed. Enjoy space between your deck and our flower garden! No smoking/vaping.

Otter Creek Retreat hosted by Elaine & Richard

Between Bar Harbor and Seal Harbor, 10 minutes by car to both and just 5 minutes by car to the Otter Cliff entrance to Acadia Park Loop Road. Walk to the Causeway via the Grover Path in 15 minutes. 5-minute walk to the Cadillac South Ridge Trail. Large high-ceiling studio with private parking and entrance with beautiful sheltered second-story deck. We are on the Blackwoods/Bar Harbor bus route so you can catch the free Island Explorer LL Bean buses to Bar Harbor and back.

Explore Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park from Drift Away Studios. This newly built, private space attached to our primary residence is a cozy and convenient home base in Northeast Harbor. Walk to the marina, shops, and restaurants, bike to Acadia’s Brown Mountain Gatehouse, or drive 15 minutes to Bar Harbor and 20 minutes to Southwest Harbor. A public pool is just across the street (July–August). Settle in, slow down, and enjoy the island life - Maine style.

The Farm By The Sea Private Apartment

The Farm By The Sea is a place to unwind and take in some nature. Private Beach. Kayakers dream. The Farm sits on 5 acres on the ocean in Trenton. A short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. You may enjoy dipping your toes at the oceans edge or you may like to just watch the garden grow. The apartment is self sufficient with private bathroom and entrance. We would want you to know that we may be up early mornings along with the chickens so early risers would do best here.
