Main Railway Station. 400m to the right is Lygon St Brunswick, renowned for the great cafes, restaurants of diverse cuisine, we have counted 21 on a stretch of less than 300m, the exclusive Woodstock Pizzicheria, 400 Gradi the true Napoli Pizza (awarded 2014 World Champion), Quarry Pub, or across the street is our favourite L'Amour & Gelobar (Gelateria, Pasticceria, Café Bakery, Tavola Calda all in one), walk or catch a tram to the City Centre via the cosmopolitan Lygon street Carlton, known as “La piccola Italia” (Little Italy) an area that burst with charm and character, enter Swanston St and you are at the centre of the Great City of Melb, turn left onto Little Burke and you are at China Town, or right to Melb Central, Myer and David Jones. The home is located near Belgrave Township, close to the Puffing Billy railway and just a short drive from the gorgeous towns of Sassafras, Olinda, and Mt. Dandenong. A lovely English-style tavern with live music sits at the end of our quiet street. Killlik Rum distillery is also at the end of the street for food and cocktails. Parking out front on road (cul de sac) Bus stop on corner to access hills towns Belgrave station 10 minutes walk Steps up to the house. Two cats live on property (Buddy & Braveheart) but probably wont impact on guests unless they are cat lovers!

The cottage is self contained and is a well designed space that accommodates a queen sized bed, bathroom and a separate study and is set in an enchanting cottage garden. The well equipped kitchen is in a separate space though part of the cottage and is accessed by its own door from the decking, so you don't have far to go. In the morning lorikeets and other wild birds come to feed and you will be awoken to the romantic sound of birdsong. During spring and summer the garden is at its loveliest.

The tram will take you to the City and local shopping precincts, the Caulfield Racecourse and local hospitals. We are 2.5kms from the start of the Grand Prix Circuit (Albert Park Lake) and a tram ride from the Rod Laver Arena.
