Our backyard birds and wildlife include: kookaburras, lorikeets, king parrots, black & white cockatoos, kingfishers, tawny frog-mouth. Kangaroos are frequent visitors.

Set on the first Valla beach street surrounded by homes used for generations by families from Armidale for their year round beach holidays. It's just a gentle downhill stroll to the 5 km long dog friendly beach backed by untouched forest reserve and an equally easy amble up to the cafe with its beautiful coffees and food. There’s a great cafe, a fab spot to jump in the water or launch a paddle board, BBQs, foreshore walks and tennis courts at the bottom of the street. Swim at Shelley - a top 10 Australian beach. Surf at Main Beach (has life guards). Walk your dog from Swimming Creek Beach to Valla. We have a big TV (with Netflix), table tennis, books, and a hammock. We have lots of adventure tips to share with guests.

Our private studio apartment is situated underneath the main house with private access through the gardens. Valla Beach is quiet and the beaches unspoilt. My husband and I live upstairs with our miniature schnauzers George and Hector who also share the garden. This is an ideal weekend retreat or beach holiday as we are an 8 minute walk to the cafes, beaches and tavern . There are several walking tracks through the forest close by and a short drive to Jacks Ridge mountain bike trail.
