The Cottage @ Sharp Rock Vineyards at Old Rag Mtn.

The Cottage is the original farmhouse built in 1794 when the farm was founded .We are located on the Hughes river ( native trout fishing) at the foot of Old Rag Mountain only two minutes from the parking lot @ Old Rag. Access to White Oak Canyon and Shenandoah National Park are only minutes away. We are also a working vineyard and winery with our tasting room open Friday thru Sundays and by appointment. Spacious, fully furnished 1,200 sq, ft. cabin w/ wrap-around porch on private 9 acres of woodland located on Robinson River near White Oak Canyon & Falls and Graves Mt. Lodge. Nearby access to Old Rag Mt. hiking trails and DuCard winery. DuCard is currently offering our guests a complimentary "wine tasting" for each booking. The flyer for our guests to present to DuCard for the tasting will be in the cabin at check-in. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO TV CABLE/WIFI/CELL SERVICE AT THE CABIN.

Stargazer is the perfect place to get away from it all! The stillness and serenity of being nestled in a bird and wildlife sanctuary is so good for your soul. Watch the sunrise from a hanging basket chair at 2700 feet of elevation, or wait for moonrise and toast spectacular star views! Relax in the sauna after a day filled with hiking and an al fresco meal on the deck. Roast s’mores at the deck fire table or over the side yard fire pit. There's magic in the air at this mountaintop retreat!

Peaceful Secluded Old Rag Retreat

The spacious one bedroom yurt is located high on a forested hillside in the middle of 15+ acres. Come enjoy a natural and serene getaway with all the comforts of home- a full kitchen (ie, all utensils, setting for four), a bathroom with shower and laundry, a queen bedroom, and a queen foldout sofa in the living room by the wood burning stove. The windows roll up from the outside and have permanent screens inside. There is also a BBQ grill, a separate firepit, and WiFi via satellite.

Red Gate Cabin: Hike into Shenandoah National Park

A true local gem, Red Gate Cabin is a one-of-a-kind, secluded, luxury cabin adjoining the Shenandoah National Park. You can hike directly from the cabin to the Appalachian Trail, Big Meadows, and Skyline Drive. At the cabin you will find modern amenities, including an EV charger, spacious outdoor decks, rocking chairs, smart TVs, a firepit, and much more! At 1,800 feet in elevation the air is cooler in the summer and views are spectacular year-round including the stars at night!

Enjoy the lovely, quiet setting on 21 acres. Newly renovated 2 story bank barn will be your home away from home. Soft, muted colors, zen feel. Come relax, hike, ride your bike, go wine and craft beer tasting, Copper Fox Distillery, has nice gin and bourbon if you prefer. Visit Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park, or shop at Sperryville gift shops, restaurants, antique markets and art galleries. Old Rag Mountain is only 20 minutes away!

The River Cottage: Main Street Sperryville, VA

A Quaint private building, originally built as a Blacksmith Shop. Conestoga wagons were made behind this building near the Thornton River.; now guest will enjoy a recently renovated and spacious one room 'suite' right off of Main Street. California King bed with plush bedding. Private bathroom with shower. Kitchenette with hotplate, smoothie maker, coffee maker, and microwave. Private deck that overlooks the Thornton River. Outdoor shower.

Time for a quiet retreat to the country. Winter is here! Good time to hit the hiking trails. (Or just stay cocooned inside!) Here's a totally modern cottage for up to four people for whom camping and even our Hayloft Cottage may seem a bit too rustic. The back door opens up to a porch and a spacious 1.5 acres of fenced-in area (shared with Hayloft dog owners and our mutts), perfect for your four-footed friends (dogs only; limit 2).
