The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

Surf Highway Coast House

Set in the midst of Taranaki's surf snow and fishing area.This sea front location (rocky foreshore) is the closest you will get to wake up to secluded surf, fishing or tramping or take a 5 min trip to world renowned locations. You’ll love my place because it is a brand new purpose built holiday beach pad. Views of Mount Taranaki out one side and the ocean on the other side in a secluded rural setting . Morning thru to afternoon sun with log burner and heat pump for the cold days. pets welcome

EcoBach - self contained off-grid small home

The EcoBach is a guest favorite for its stunning views of Mount Taranaki, peaceful atmosphere, and off-grid charm. Guests love relaxing in the outdoor bath, exploring the property’s gardens, glowworms, and friendly animals, and enjoying the cozy, well-equipped interior with books, games, and movies. Just 15–20 minutes from New Plymouth and near Egmont National Park, it’s perfect for couples or families seeking a tranquil retreat with sustainability and modern comforts in harmony.

Mac’s Place

Urenui Beach bach. Three bedrooms, one master and two small bunk rooms. Two back from the sea with partial sea view. Ideal for a family holiday. Sleeps 6. Comfortable living and dining area. Separate shower, toilet and laundry. Heat Pump to keep it cosy in the cooler months. Parking on site. Urenui Beach has a beach and river area for swimming & fishing, golf course, playground and shop. The township of Urenui is a walkable distance away. Linen available for guests to use.

A bed by the beach

Comfortable self contained studio, with own access, 1 Double bed, own shower and toilet, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, toaster , hot plate 2 elements., TV. Shopping centres, laundrette, takeaways, and cafes nearby. We no longer supply breakfast but milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar is supplied. Off street parking. 5 minutes to airport, 2 minutes to the beach and walkway. NOTE: due to thickness of the concrete walls WIFI is positional. ADULTS ONLY

Our newly constructed Little Church Bay is located in one of the best locations in Taranaki. It’s on the beachfront at East End Beach -a short stroll along the walkway into town for the best shops, cafes, bars & tourist attractions. Available for bed & breakfast stays & function hire ie wedding ceremonies. A romantic oasis cosy & private with many activities on your doorstep. Pls note we no longer hold wedding ceremonies at Little Church Bay 2 night min.
