Our wonderful house is truly a Mountain Majesty! It sits on the side of a mountain with a million dollar view! It is close to "Mayberry!", aka Mount Airy for which the show was named for. You’ll love our place because of the privacy, the comfy beds, the coziness, the porches, the high ceilings, the hot tub, the décor, the wildlife, the location and most importantly the VIEW!! Edifice Rex

Edifice Rex, a 300 square foot studio apartment, is only one mile and less than 2 minutes from Interstate 81 yet offers a very bucolic, peaceful setting. Countless cultural, historical and recreational opportunities exist within a 30 mile radius. The James River and Appalachian Trail are but minutes away. The name, "Edifice Rex" is to honor the caretaker on the property, a German Shepard named Rex. You will not have to interact with him ( he wears a radio collar) but he welcomes attention.

Plenty of parking available. Every room has a TV and there is WiFi throughout the house.

Verizon is best. Occasionally WiFi may act up but usually good. Worth the stay if you want to relax and unwind away from city issues. Peaceful incredible views. Short hike to mountain stream on property picnic area. Water is from a deep well, tested and 100% free of any bacteria. No RVs.

Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families, and working remote.

Home Sweet Hokie is 8 minutes from VT, 15 minutes from RU and less than 1 mile from the CHRISTIANSBURG AQUATIC CENTER. This charming Cape Code is settled on a quaint street, readily accessible to VA Tech and our families favorite, Lane Stadium. On a one acre corner lot, we welcome guests to relax and experience the Appalachian Mountains and its treasures like hiking, wineries or tubing on the New River. All new beds and decor.
