Welcome and Mission Statement Our mission is to make you feel at home while you stay here. This is why we named our place "I am Home Guest House." I came up with the name "I am Home Guest House," thinking of my childhood. The first thing I said was "I'm home, mom!" when I came home where my mother warmly welcomed me. I want you to feel the same when you visit our place and say, "I'm hooooome!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location We are located in the west side of Kyoto. We are within easy access to many popular attractions in the Bamboo Forest, Arashiyama Monkey Park , Toyei Movie Studio (SAMURAI and NINJA film studio). Attractions in the same areas include the following. *Tenryuji Temple *Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple (8000 Stone Buddha and Pagoda) *Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple (1200 Stone Buddha) *Bamboo Forest *Arashiyama Monkey Park(Monkeys in the wild) *Sagano Scenic Railway ( Sagano Romantic Train) *The Hozu River Cruise *Toyei Movie Studio (SAMURAI and NINJA film studio) *Mt. Atago One of the things that I strongly recommend is to hike on Mt.Atago, the highest mountain in Kyoto (924 meters / 3031 feet). It serves an escape from the busy city life for the locals, but it is also a pilgrimage route to 1300 year-old Atago Shrine on its peak. On the night of July 31, the shrine hosts a holy fire festival which is not to be missed. If you are into cycling, nearby Katsuragawa Cycling Road (40 kilometers /25 miles), is perfect to enjoy your ride along the Katsura River (it leads even further to Osaka). If you are a runner, the city of Kyoto hosts a municipal marathon in February. It starts at Nishikyogoku Sports Park which is in our neighborhood, and it is a perfect place to start your day by running with other runners and dog walkers. Our location is also very convenient as there are so many convenience stores, drug stores, and grocery stores and eateries. Izakaya (Japanese tavern), Sushi, Ramen, Yakitori, Okonomiyaki, Yakiniku (Korean Barbecue), and Chinese restaurants are all within walking distance. We explain about house rules then give you a key. If you have any questions and concerns, we are just steps away. So please feel free to contact us with anything. We are glad to help you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- House Rules Check in Time: 3:00 pm Check out Time: 11:00 am I try to be flexible, so if you need to check in before 3 pm, it can be arranged. If you need to check out after 11 am, there will be an extra charge in cash as follows. 2000 yen after 11 am-12 pm and increases 2000 yen by hour. However, it is negotiable depending on a situation. For example, lost keys or damages to the properties can delay the check-out process. *Take shoes off before entering the room *Quiet time: 10 pm - 8 am *No party (please be considerate to our neighbors) *Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the room (permitted ONLY in the balcony or outside the apartment building, not the outside the door) *No eating on/in the bed *If smoking in the room or eating on/in the bed is evident, we will have to charge you a penalty in the amount of 20000 yen. *Turn off lights, Air conditioner, etc when you go out. Please try to conserve energy. *Do not discard anything other than toilet paper in the toilet. *Please try not to loose the key or mobile wifi. The penalty fee is 10000 yen. *Please leave a key into the mailbox on the door if you are checking out very early. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Access From the Kansai International Airport (KIX): The best way is to take a door-to-door shuttle service operated by the taxi companies, MK Shuttle Bus or Yasaka Shuttle Bus. 90 minutes directly to the Guest House ( yen). A reservation is strongly recommended. Train: JR Express, Haruka. KIX to JR Kyoto Station (3000 yen), 80 minutes From the JR Kyoto station: Bus: #28 get off at Minami-Hiromachi, 20 minutes #73 get off at Nishikyogoku Sports Center, 20 minutes Taxi: Please tell a driver "Tenjingawa-takatsuji-nishi Hankyu Oasis or Sugi drugstore" (takes about 20 minutes, 1500 yen) I will pick you up there. From Nishikyogoku Station of Hankyu line 15 minute walk Other things to note Located on the 3rd floor without an elevator House Rules No smoking, Not suitable for pets, No parties or events, May not be safe or suitable for children (0-12 years)Check-in time is 3 PM - 7 PM. ***Please try not to loose the key or mobile wifi. Very convenieant location near center Kyoto. 9min, from JR Kyoto station to Enmachi station then 5min, walk to my apartment. There are supermarket and convenience store which are open 24h within 3min. walk. Also there are many restaurants and drinking options in walking distance. The room has a double size bed=1, a double size sofa bed=1. Nearest station is Enmachi Station (JR line) 9 mins to Kyoto Station by Train. Nishinokyo-Badaicyo bus stop 20mins to Kawaramachi by Kyoto Bus. 大家好歡迎大家來到一個京都地點最好的地方又安靜又方便可以讓你輕鬆又放鬆的地方，那麼我們的員工有會說中文及英文的唷！ 我們千辛萬苦前面花了兩年的時間才找到這一棟地點好安靜又有電梯的大樓接著又花了一年的時間很有誠意的跟屋主談判才說服他買到這一棟真正都是日本人住在𥚃面的大樓經營，可以直接100％的體驗日本人的日常生活！ 我們很用心的把這一棟大樓的十幾個房間都佈置成不一樣的特色風格每一間房間的主題也都是我們用手工親自製作及彩畫的，大概平均一個多月才會新開一個房間， 我們也很高興airbnb的三個帳號𥚃共得到三百多個五顆星的超讚房東評價，由於我們也很用心挑選寢具，所以大家可以在評價𥚃很多顧客都說我們的床很好睡唷！ 而我們對於清潔也很重視，大家都知道清潔打掃外包是最便宜的，但是卻會感受不到用心及溫度，所以我們的房間完完全全是自己用最大的用心打掃的， 京都地點好的airbnb住宿大部分是沒有電梯的，尤其是老町屋，有時候我們孝順帶著父母及小孩出來旅遊，已經經歷了旅途的勞累及千辛萬苦後還要搬行李及爬樓梯到樓上的房間實在有點吃不消希望大家旅遊愉快平平安安能有好心情唷 2025年3月更換全新浴室及蓮蓬頭
