Pecan Cabin

The Pecan Cabin is in the middle of a pecan orchard. It is built out of pecan wood. There is much wildlife around the cabin. We often see deer, wild turkeys, armadillo, squirrels, hawks, racoon, and coyote. It is very quiet and peaceful. A great place for star gazing. This is a working pecan orchard. You may see us, mowing, pruning and generally taking care of the trees. There is no hunting on this property. The land is leased for hunting, but they do not hunt in the pecan grove.

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. We not only live in the country but we are set back from the road in a gated area so you get to enjoy everything from our horses to the wild turkey and deer right outside your door. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful which makes it an easy place to relax during your stay. We not only have trailer parking, but also two horse stalls in case you want to bring big four-legged babies for nearby trail rides.

Our place is 15 minutes from Oklahoma State University, Lake McMurtry East is 3.5 miles away. You’ll love our place because of the outdoors space, tranquility and the wildlife. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Enjoy the stars and nights around the fire pit. Taxes are less out here too - you don't have to pay the 4% city or 7% accommodation taxes when you book with us since we're outside city limits.

Quiet and cozy stay 6.6 miles from Boone Pickens, 7 miles from downtown and the bus stop. We live on the property and will be chummy or invisible as you wish! We have one cat and a few kittens. Kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker for simple foods and the all important COFFEE to start your day. There is a brand new mini split to keep your perfect temperature and room darkening curtains for wonderful sleeping.
