La maison se compose d’une cuisine, d'un séjour, d'un wc séparé, d'une salle de douche, d'une chambre au rez-de-chaussée et à l’étage d'une grande chambre double. Le logement bénéficie d'une terrasse et d'une grande cuisine d'été avec barbecue et four à pain/pizza. A disposition : un terrain de pétanque, une piscine naturelle et autres espaces de détente. Il est possible de louer également la "Villa contiguë 1 de 60m2 avec terrasse" pouvant accueillir 4 personnes supplémentaires.

House of Schist in the center of Portugal

Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.

There are several river beaches close by which are perfect for a dip in the heat of the Portuguese sunshine. 200m up the road is the local cafe shop. Sertã and Oleiros are 10mins drive away, with larger supermarkets and some excellent restaurants.
