Unique Woods Retreat ~ Quiet place in Nature

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, built with many unique features: a log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop on our property. The gorgeous metal stair railing hand designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

Outdoor Enthusiasts Cabin, Near AuSable River, Mio

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

Sunrise Hill

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A great location to relax and appreciate nature. The house is built into a hill which provides great views of wildlife, stars and sunrises. The master bedroom is located on the top floor and gives you a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding environment. Enjoy a cup of coffee out on the porch swings and watch the sunrise. View deer pass by in the evenings and gaze at the stars as they come out. A great place to stay away from home.

Cozy Cass Cottage - 2 beds 1 bath

This cozy cottage in a quiet neighborhood is surrounded by everything you need. You can ride in and out to the ORV/snowmobile trails that tour through national forest, take a 5 minute drive to the Au Sable River and scenic Mio Pond, or spend the day with a unique assortment of shopping. If the weather has you down, cuddle up with a blanket, coffee/hot chocolate, and a movie or board game. Located close to many lakes and ponds, this makes the perfect spot for ice fishing as well!

Trail's End Guesthouse Cabin Rental

Nestled in the Pure Michigan woods, Trail's End Guesthouse is at the "end of the trail" overlooking a peaceful country garden. Perfect for a couples get-a-way or celebrate a special occasion. Rustic cabin style retreat with an open floor plan. Two levels include a winter themed spacious loft bedroom, main floor kitchenette, and a cozy sitting room. Private backyard space with fire pit, picnic table, and camp chairs. (Yes, firewood is included!) Pets Not allowed.

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. With quick access to Smith Lake, the AuSable River, and multiple state trails there is plenty to keep you busy. Relax around the fire at night and enjoy the half acre yard or the hot tub. This property is not on the lake, but a short trip away (public park at entrance road) in the private Smith Lake sub division. Roads are dirt in sub.

Holy Silo!!! If you’re someone that likes to spend time in nature and you’re looking for a unique camping experience, The Silo is just what your looking for. Our property is Motorcycle friendly! Dirt bikes and ORV type must trailer in and out. This unique off the grid camping experience will allow you to create great memories!

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place in downtown Mio. Within walking distance from the Ausable River, banks, grocery store, food options and more! Access from property to the Huron-Manistee National Forest trails, short distance from Bull Gap open riding area.
