This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

The Highland Bunkie at Shaggy Horns Farm

Welcome to The Highland Bunkie. This truly unique escape is nestled just steps away from our two Scottish Highland cows, where they graze our beautiful 15-acre hobby farm! Your stay includes a free, hands-on guided tour ($50 value), where you’ll meet and interact with all of our farm animals. After an unforgettable day of animal encounters, retreat to your cozy, fully electric bunkie and experience glamping at its finest. Reconnect with nature, and make memories you won’t find anywhere else!

Cozy Creek-Side Cabin

Small cabin in the woods with many seasonal uses. There is over 1000 adjoining acres of mixed forest & fields. Over 300 acres of privately owned land by the host plus over 700 acres of attached public crown lots accessible through private holdings, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts/nature lovers, as a launch pad into Algonquin Park, or as a quite retreat into the forest. Winter Activities and Uses Include: snowmobiling, ice fishing at a large selection of local lakes, snow shoeing etc.

Spacious Fully Equipped Studio in Trendy Westboro

In a separate building from the main house, the studio is private, fully equipped and super clean. There is great coffee, teas, homemade granola, reliable wifi, and internet TV. The kitchenette is equipped with a mini fridge, 2-burner stove and everything you need to make a light meal. The double bed with a pillow-top is quite comfortable. Centrally located, Westboro has great restaurants, cafes, and shops. Public transport is a five minute walk away. Everyone is welcome here.

Le Riverain

Welcome to our waterfront cottage nestled in a quiet area of Wakefield on a 2 acre property. The two level 1,800sf cottage has been carefully designed to integrate with nature with large floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. Come relax and recharge in nature. Plenty of activities to do: swim from the dock, canoe/kayak, fish, bike, golf, ski, explore the Gatineau Park, the Nordik Spa, etc. (CITQ#304057. The Mushroom Cabin ~ it’s a real trip

Get away from the hustle at the OFF-GRID MUSHROOM HOUSE! Cozy up in the cabin, take a walk on the trails, heat up in our wood burning sauna, or just sit outside and listen to the frogs and birds sing. Get rustic by cooking with our wood fire earth oven or grill over a campfire! You’ll have all the cooking tools you need for a fabulous meal. IMPORTANT! ***No running hot water or shower available from October 1st to May 10th*** Regardless, our place is a retreat you’ll love!

PERCHED CABIN at Mariposa Farm

The Perched cabin is one of our three cabins. We also have the Apple Tree and the Poplar cabin. This is glamping at its best. Window walls letting light into every side. A sleeping loft. Built with logs. Well equipped for cooking. Heated with woodstove - firewood included. In the middle of the forest. A lot of trails to enjoy. No neighbours. The perfect spot to unwind. We are farmers, a precise time of arrival is important. You are welcome to visit the farm.

The Guest House

Our guest house is a cozy log cabin with three floors. It is the original homesteader cabin to our property, revived and restored with care. Nestled in the Bonnechere region of Renfrew County, this magical place of solitude offers nature right outside your door. Local paintings by Ottawa Valley landscape artist Angela St. Jean displayed throughout the cabin feature lakes, rivers, and natural places and spaces that surround us.

Rustic Cabin Getaway
