Sahara désert camp

Sleep under the stars of the Sahara Wake up in the middle of the desert, with silence as your only companion and a horizon of dunes all around you. Our camp in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara offers an authentic experience, far from noise and rush. The space Two traditional small houses with floor mattresses in the Berber style, a haima (nomadic tent) for meals, a shaded area with palm trees, rugs and a hammock to rest, and an outdoor space with a swing and fire pit. All under a sky full of stars with no light pollution. Breakfast included Every morning you'll have breakfast with local products in the haima. We can also prepare lunch and dinner, including vegan and vegetarian options. If you want the full experience, ask us for bread cooked in the desert sand — a ritual you won't forget. How to get there On foot (45 min on flat terrain), by 4x4 or by camel. If you want to arrive by camel, let us know in advance and we'll book one for you. We depart from Ksar Bounou. Price 30€ per person/night including breakfast. Groups of 5 or more: contact us before booking for a special rate.

Desert Camp Chraika

Welcome to our desert camp located in a beautiful nature area of small dunes with tamarisk trees, a 20-minute walk from M'hamid village. Built from natural materials, with electricity coming from solar power, huts will keep you warm at night and cool during the day. Traditional clay-wooden huts are equipped with comfy beds, warm blankets, carpets and simple shelves for clothes. Full Moroccan breakfast is served every day and is included in the price. We also serve lunch and dinner on request.

Sleep in a haima in the Sahara-Chegaga Berber Camp

The Camp is located 55 km west of M'hamid, right under the foot of Chigaga - one of the two highest Moroccan dunes. The camp consists of 6 haimas-bed rooms, a bigger haima that we use like living room and as a dining room, an area with a thatched roof, with comfortable mattresses to enjoy the outdoors next to which we light a bonfire at night, where we meet with our guests to chat, have a tea or enjoy Berber music. We have also a kitchen and a common bathroom with toilets and showers.

Berber Camp Excursions

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Our camp is step Away 5 minutes driving from the town, just where the sand dunes and the desert calmness begins. We do have 4 private and comfortable mud huts. The beds can be depend on our guests desire. We we have two showers with hot water and two toilets outside and close to the rooms. Aux portes du Sahara vous aurez pour horizon le commencement de l'immensité du désert, vous pourrez chaque soir y admirer le coucher du soleil.

The Zaid garden - Peace, love & permaculture

The Zaid garden is a family run household of me, my wife and our two children - 3 & 5 years old, with permaculture farm. We only rent out full pension. Breakfast, lunch and dinner we offer for 15€ per person and day. Vegetarian or vegan good can be prepared, just let us know before. The meals we ask you to pay for once you are here and in cash. The house is big with spacy rooms on huge land surronded by palm trees. There's even a live band playing some nights.

Our bivouac is an oasis of desert calm, 6km from Mhamid town - transport from the town to the campsite is provided.
