Entire cabin steps from a quiet beach, in the peaceful cabin area of Sylvan Lake. Take the boardwalk to our downtown restaurants, children's parks, and local shops! Use our paddle boards and beach gear to experience the lake. Enjoy our firepit, front and back decks, and private enclosed backyard. Parking provided conveniently out front. From our location you can walk anywhere and save the parking fees. Our cozy cabin is equipped with all the necessities you need for a wonderful stay at the lake!

At Hillwinds House, it’s all about taking a moment to disconnect from your busy life and reconnect with nature. Build a fire, read a book, brew some coffee, sweat in the sauna, soak in the hot tub (seasonally), prepare a nourishing meal, and watch the sun set over the valley in the west. We are excited to share our Alberta landscape with its beautiful sky, empty fields, and close up nature details. The 5 acres are filled with wildflowers in the summer, look closely and take a moment to enjoy.

This cabin is titled The Getaway as it can serve as a place where you can truly escape a busy life to truly take a break. Only 1/2 a block from the beach and about one kilometres from the busiest hub of Lakeshore Drive, you can park your car in the driveway, and explore on foot. Stay busy with board and lawn games, books, a fire pit, and a hot tub and enjoying the beautiful garden are just a few things to do without leaving The Getaway. Get away from it all and relax with the sounds of nature. Our cabin is located inside our bison pasture where you’ll see the bison and fall asleep to coyotes howling in the distance. A truly unique property that allows the serenity of true western life as it was when the bison roamed free. Here for the Calgary stampede?
