This private, exceptionally clean 2nd story apartment, ideal for 1 person or couple, is just 4 miles from Athens via a single county road. It overlooks a 3-acre pond on 5 acres in a safe and beautiful rural subdivision. With all the amenities you need, including fast wi-fi, it’s a great place to stay if you are visiting OU, attending music festivals or hiking at Hocking Hills, or if you are looking for an inspirational writer’s/artist’s retreat. This is a convenient and comfortable, above garage apartment, within a mile or so from uptown Athens, just off of Richland Ave. Equipped with everything you might need, including wifi, full kitchen and bath, central heat, and A/C. and then some. Many updates have occurred since original listing, paired w lots of little changes, as a result of positive feedback. Please bare with me as it's a continual art in progress. I welcome you to Seven Oaks Cabin. It is a place of well-being for individuals who like to connect with nature while staying in a primitive cabin away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The interior consists of a variety of wood-eastern white pine, cedar and cherry. The living area has furniture made by local Amish, septic system for flush toilet, instant hot water, small bedroom with bunk bed (full mattress on bottom/ twin on top), efficiency kitchen, and loft with queen mattress.

Camp Forever is 20 minutes from Ohio University, and a Short 5 minute drive to 2 Wineries! We love pets and insist you bring them along for your stay.

PaPa Cabin

“Spring “ at PaPa Cabin be prepared for a different experience. This little house, perched on a cliff, is off the grid, surrounded by forest. A quarter mile walk through the woods leads to the cabin. Bedroom sleeps two on the comfy bed. With only 12 volt (like your car) solar electricity, gas heat, some 12v fans (no AC) it will be an adventure! In the kitchenette, guests will find a propane range top, a fridge, and cooking utensils, bottled water, outside a charcoal grill.

Country Getaway

Short drive on the highway from Athens, OH (15 minutes) and Parkersburg, WV(35 minutes). Detached studio apartment located on 25 acres with access to almost 300 acres for walking and fishing(catch and release). Studio apartment has a full kitchen and bathroom, two bed nooks, a chair, and table with four barstools. The space is heated using radiant floor during cool weather and during warm weather cooled by a window unit AC. Owners live about 30ft from rental on the property.

Take it easy at this unique and pet friendly place. The Tired Beagle is a repurposed Dog Grooming business. There is a Queen bed and Futon Bed. The dog wash is available for pets. Located on a working farm in the country, yet a couple miles from Ohio University, you havel 40 acres for nature walks, easy access to town and unique wineries. The Tired Beagle has ample parking and located next to road for quick access.
