Villa Lara is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids (cot & highchair can be provided)), and big groups. Villa Lara is set in a peaceful location ideal for walking the levadas (unmissable walks in Calheta include Paul da Serra, Rabacal (to Risco Waterall & 25 Fontes), Levada Nova and the Prazeres to Paul do Mar walk) and is close to a bus route. The property is approximately 30 minutes drive to Funchal and 45 minutes from the airport. A car is recommended so you can explore the island at your convenience. A Casa da Oliveira (Casa das Oliveiras-G. Maps) fica próximo da vila de Mesão-Frio (+/- 2Km), porta de entrada no Douro Vinhateiro. Uma antiga casa, anterior a 1950, foi recuperada e mantém algumas das paredes originais, em pedra. Dispõe de 1 quarto, WC, sala com sofá cama e cozinha equipada, AC, TV, Wi-Fi e churrasqueira no exterior. As vistas são magníficas sobre as vinhas da região e rio Douro. Excelente opção para uns dias de descanso, à semana ou fim de semana.

A casa está inserida numa quinta vedada. Tem vista sobre um lago, um pinhal e a Serra da Estrela, numa envolvente natural de grande beleza. Tem as comodidades adequadas para uns dias sossegados, com aquecimento de ar-condicionado e electrico, um frigorífico, um micro-ondas, um pequeno fogão de indução, uma cafeteira elétrica, um liquidificador, um grelhador a gaz e outro a carvão no exterior e máquina de café (cápsulas Delta).

This refuge is in the middle of a large forest of cork oaks, with more than 30 hectares, with many paths for pleasant walks, watching many varieties of birds, several places to practice Yoga, or simply contemplating the cork oak forest or the horizon. Here you will certainly be happy during your stay !!! If you want a long stay and need to work, I can provide an internet router.
