Welcome, I have just over 20 acres of land, mostly wooded. This has now become an active family farm that requires land and livestock maintenance on a daily, you may hear a bit of noise during daylight hours, unless it’s a holiday weekend when my kids visit, those weekends can get a lot louder. I have been trying to keep my kids quiet for nearly 38 years…..if you’re a parent, you understand. Ha. It’s beautiful here, and your comfort is top priority. So glad Grumpy's is finally finished, it's been a fun 4-year complete remodel project, working weekends and constantly looking for pieces to make it Unique. Grumpy's Getaway is located directly across the road from Rock Island State Park, It has 2 bedrooms, a walk in shower, a wraparound Porch with a Hot Tub perfect for relaxing. Also, have a 50 amp RV plug at the corner of the Cabin for EV Car charging if needed, We Do Not offer a clean out station. Firewood and Kindling are provided.

Folks come here to get away from the noise and bustle, artists to work in the beautiful setting. Walk to the top of the hill and see incredible stars on a clear night. Fall asleep listening to the great horned owl calling to her mate. Watch dawn light up the small valley below, perhaps catch a glimpse of the red fox as he passes. Bring ice for cooler.

This studio apartment has its own private entrance that is attached to the cabin. The studio apartment and the cabin can be rented separate or for larger gatherings together. This studio apartment is everything you need for your next vacation! It is located in a quiet rural country area where you can see the stars at night and green pastures in the day. The cabin is located next door and is not included - it is a separate space. no third party bookings. NO PETS OR SMOKING
