Relax & enjoy wildlife from the serenity of the suite, on deck chairs or in the brand new private hot tub! In summer, your private deck is perfect for watching eagles, loons, ducks, swans and fish while enjoying cocktails or BBQ. For the lake, use a stand up paddle board or canoe from our stash. Winter? bring your own skiis for the groomed trail on the lake. A neatly appointed kitchenette gets you through the basics. Use the grill for bigger meals. Salted Roots Yellow Door Bus

It is complete with a kitchenette and detached full bathroom, reading nook, a king bed downstairs, and a master king bedroom upstairs in the vaulted A-frame loft. In the evenings enjoy watching the activities on the bay, including wildlife (sea lions, otters, whales, eagles, birds, etc), commercial, charter, and tour boats & the cruise ships.

We are one of Seward Alaska's only Beach front lodging. If you're wanting something different in accommodations & you don't want that hotel room experience then you have come to the right place. From our deck, you can relax and watch the wildlife or just a few steps away from taking a stroll on the beach. Rustic Roots Forest Suite

NEW OWNERSHIP! CURRENTLY UNDERGOING INTERIOR RENOVATIONS! Rustic Roots offers 7 nightly units. Our Greenhouse Suites building has four water-view rooms, with a shared backyard deck, campfire ring, kitchen, picnic table & BBQ. Forest Suite is located on the second floor with a king bed in the main bedroom, plus a queen cabinet bed in the loft common area, a private en-suite bathroom, and a coffee bar. Perfect for groups of up to 4 (or small families).

A Cottage on the Bay

A cottage on the bay is a beach front house with 3 bedrooms, each looking out over Resurrection Bay. A well supplied kitchen and living room allow you to relax while watching the ocean and mountains. The large front deck expands into a sitting area with fire pit, looking over the beach. Stoke the cedar sauna and enjoy walks to the north and south while it warms up! The whales, sea lions, seals, otters and birds make this place truly unique.
