Our goal is rest and renewal for our guests so they return home ready to serve others and encouraged to spend regular time in prayer and God's Word. Relaxing is also a part of renewal so on-site activities and the surrounding communities offer plenty of recreation and tourism opportunities. Marmutt Woods is a place to step out of daily distractions to relax and refocus. Even if you are here primarily for some other reason, we hope you'll take advantage of the quiet time and provided materials.

Mitchell Retreat

Located near the Bearskin State Trail, this cabin is just minutes from Minocqua, Tomahawk, and Rhinelander, offering easy access to hiking, biking, and local attractions. Relax on the patio, take in the peaceful lake views, and enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods. Your perfect getaway awaits!

Big Bear’s Den - On Lake Alexander

This spacious home is located on beautiful Lake Alexander just west of Merrill, Wisconsin. Enjoy the tranquil view year-round as you plan the many activities that this location offers. You bring the boat, and we'll supply the dock. Throw in your ski's or wakeboard, and don't forget your fishing poles! Three pound small mouth bass are not uncommon and the monster's of fresh water fish, the musky, are plentiful. Add in walleyes, crappies, northern pike and this location is a fisherman's dream!

Our property offers a Peaceful Getaway in a Resort Setting on a Quiet Lake. "Great Location", "Amazing Views", "Clean", "Cozy", "Perfect", "Peaceful", "Comfortable", and "Relaxing" are what we repeatedly hear from our guests after their stay. The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

Your dream cabin awaits you, right on the shores of pristine Wabikon Lake. During your stay, you’ll be in one of only four structures situated on the shoreline, surrounded by protected forests. The brand-new Uno was completed in 2019, replacing original rustic fishing cabins constructed in the 1920's. Whether you want to pack your trip full of adventure or just curl up in a cozy nook to get lost in a book or the nature surrounding you, Piacenza’s on Wabikon will become your go-to spot.

Wintergreen Cabin #1 on Moen Lake Chain

When you think Northern WI cabin stay, this is exactly what they should be. Small 700 square foot cabin sitting on the Moen Lake Chain just a few miles east of Rhinelander. Easy access via blacktop road that takes you right to the place. It offers 56 ft of water frontage. A small public boat landing right in front, makes it easy to get on and off the water. A new dock to tie it up for the evening on those summer stays, and drive out (at own risk) on the ice for those winter months.

Relax in the silence of the forest at our dog-friendly cabin. Please note we welcome pet dogs - no other animals. Enjoy breathtaking star gazing and easy access to snowmobile and ATV trails/routes. Explore local cross-country, mountain bike and snowshoe trails, local restaurants, shops, wineries, and art.
