Big R's Retreat Secluded and located in Nature

Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Tree Bear Cabin, on a 67 acre Tree Farm

Step away from the demands of life into this hidden gem. Tree Bear Cabin is a 100% real wood log cabin above the bustle of town, nestled among a 67-acre tree farm. Enjoy the quiet of the forest, and the cozy cabin interior. Play games on the wide lawn, explore the trails throughout the property, and make the most of your trip with our noon check-in time and 4 pm check-out times! Activities close by include fishing, kayaking, hiking, wine tasting, UTV Tours, and visiting local shops & Orchards!

The Spring Water Retreat - NEW! @MillCreekCabinsWI

After crossing a narrow path along the lake you will find the entrance to the Spring Water Retreat at Mill Creek Cabins. The remains of an old farmhouse now welcome our guests to a warm, secure, escape from the everyday. This secluded space is the perfect place to relax in the woods.​ With no TV and large windows looking out over the lake, the focus is on the outdoors. Despite the remote location, a high-speed internet connection is available to keep you connected throughout your stay. ​

Treat the whole family to a rural, ridgetop getaway tucked in the middle of Amish-country. With enough unique character to match the crazies in any family, this charming cabin offers a spacious stay big enough for a multi-family reunion. Engage in classic, country fun year-round at the Cabin. You can hop straight on the cross-county snowmobile trail that runs through the Cabin yard, or during long summer evenings, gather around the Cabin's outdoor fireplace and play summer yardgames.

Back Roads Cabin Retreat

Enjoy a weekend off the grid in our rustic cabin on 30 acres of wooded serenity. Watch the sunset on the covered porch, or relax around a campfire. Feel free to explore the woods taking a hike on the network of trails. Nearby you can visit winery's, Wildcat Mountain State Park, the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and more. The driftless region is known for great fishing, scenic drives through the hills and biking. Contact us about additional camp sites on the property for larger groups.

✧Driftless Chalet✧ Secluded cabin on 5 acres

Welcome to Driftless Chalet! The wonders of the Driftless Area lie just outside your window. Located on 5 wooded acres just past Spring Green, make this cozy cabin (with fast wifi, heat and A/C!) your HQ as you explore American Players Theater, House on the Rock, Taliesin, state parks, the WI River, wineries and more. Watch for deer and birds while sipping coffee on the porch, roast marshmallows over the campfire, bust out the board games and make lifelong memories!

Oscar's Cabin

This special place is located in the middle of Yuba, Wisconsin's smallest incorporated village. A former dent-and-bent grocery store from the 1980s, Oscar's Cabin is being restored as a living space. The layout is open, with a full kitchen, living/dining space, and two beds. The bathroom and utility room are separate rooms from the main space. Restoration work (which will be paused during your visit) continues on the outside. We'll post new photos as progress is made!

Ash Creek Retreat

New this year! Amish log cabin set on a hillside with beautiful views all around. Complete with all the amenities you need. Games both inside and out, firepit (wood included), basketball hoop, horseshoes, picnic table and wrap around porch to enjoy. Fish in the nearby trout stream, hike the nearby public forest or just sit on the porch and enjoy this quiet getaway located just outside two small towns. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.

Our Wild River Lodge is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath lodge with a spacious patio overlooking the beautiful Wisconsin River. Located on 11 acres of secluded woods with 350 feet of shoreline, you can catch fish right from our shore. This is a perfect retreat for nature lovers! Located in the heart of the Driftless Region of Wisconsin, our lodge is 3.5 hours from Chicago, 4 hours from Minneapolis and 2.5 hours from Milwaukee. There's room for everyone by the river!

River Road Retreat

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Located one block from the Wisc. River, with a park across the street. Within walking distance of convenience stores, local winery 3 miles away. Within 1/2 Hr. of the House on the Rock, and APT. Walking trails and swimming pool within walking distance. We are close to many area attractions including the Wisconsin River, House on the Rock, Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, The American Players Theater, Wisconsin Dells, and much more! The cabin is an ideal place to relax for both couples or families who would like to escape the city and spend some time in nature.
