The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious, gourmet free breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner.

Juniper Room at Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast

Just steps away from the main house is the Juniper room, offering pasture & foothill views to rear. This cozy room is detached from the main house and features one queen bed, a small work area, private bathroom with walk in shower (no tub), saltillo tile floors, wooden tongue and groove ceilings, ceiling fan and air-conditioning. Relax under our covered porch. Pet fees (if any) of $25 per pet, per night and taxes are paid directly to the B&B. Contact us in advance to confirm your pet stay.

The Old West, quaint antique room with Queen Bed

The Old West is a large Queen Bed room with a private shower and tub. Enjoy your welcome snack and dip in the hot-tub on the outside deck. A true southwest gourmet breakfast with great coffee should set your day right. A short 3-minute walk to the steam train - The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR will take you to a time never forgot but hard to recreate. High altitude hiking, clear sky photos, bird watching, horseback riding are just a few of the scenes from your own Old West Movie!

Wildrose Room

Located 2 blocks from Taos Plaza with a daily gourmet breakfast. Wildrose is a cozy second floor micro-queen room with thick adobe walls, kiva fireplace, high ceiling, and view of the historic La Loma Plaza. This small room features a custom mural and is painted in subtle pinks, accented with willow stick shutters and matching headboard. The vanity adjoins the bedroom with two steps leading up to the Mexican tiled bath with tub/shower. Pets are not allowed in this room.

The Casita at Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast

A cozy, 1-bedroom, adobe suite. It features a bedside kiva fireplace, 1 queen bed in the sleeping area, as well as a daybed (which converts into 2 twin beds, if needed) in the sitting room, a kitchenette, ceiling fans, AC and a private, ground-level deck with pasture and foothill views. Saltillo tile floors and vigas impart the feel of old New Mexico. $25 per night pet fee and taxes are paid directly to the B&B. Contact us in advance to confirm your pet stay.

Georgia's Garden

Located 2 blocks from Taos Plaza with a daily gourmet breakfast. Georgia's Garden, a first-floor king room with an outdoor entrance, features clean, cool minimalist decor, art deco antiques and a selection of her art. Enjoy the courtyard and mountain views out the French doors, which open onto our park-like grounds. This room includes air conditioning, flat screen TV with VCR/DVD and free WiFi. A dog-friendly room with additional fee (sorry, no cats).

Mariposa Room at Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast

This is an intimate adobe room offers one queen bed, vigas, ceiling fan, and traditional New Mexico floors. The private bathroom (not shared) for this room is across the hall from the sleeping room. It features an old-fashioned claw-foot bathtub retrofitted for a shower as well. Perfect for a luxurious bubble bath! (Clawfoot bathtubs due to their design may pose challenges for individuals with mobility issues or physical disabilities.)

Kiva Room at Casa Escondida Bed & Breakfast

A true hideaway! Enjoy the warmth of the romantic, bedside kiva fireplace. This lovely upstairs guest room has one queen bed, as well as two twin beds which are tucked in a cozy, little alcove just off of the main sleeping room. It also features a small work area, wooden floors, a banco window seat and air-conditioning. Sip a glass of your favorite libation, while enjoying a relaxing soak in your bathtub/shower.
