The apartment is part of the eclectic East Austin scene in the popular Holly Street neighborhood. It's minutes from downtown clubs and restaurants, and a short walk to the Austin Hike and Bike trail system that runs through the center of the city. Plenty of room for parking, but close to all bus stops, bike rentals and ride sharing. We have created a space that is very comfortable and accommodating. South Congress Apartment

Our apartment is perfect for the budget traveler. It's very clean and with about 500 square feet it is spacious enough for 2 guests, although there is a fold out couch if you need it. Be sure to use the pillow top and comforter located on top of the bookshelf next to the couch. My wife and I lived here before buying the main house on the property. It was a great place to live and gave us many happy years. I'm sure you will love it too! Located near Congress and Riverside, just a few blocks away from longtime Austin establishments such as Guero's Taco Bar, The Continental Club, Allen's Boots, and many other amazing restaurants, shops and music venues. The South Congress bridge, where the bats emerge at sunset every evening from March to October, is just a few more blocks away and leads directly into the downtown area only a mile from our apartment, all within walking distance. You can pick up the hike and bike trail at the bridge as well, and it runs for many miles around Lady Bird Lake. Public bike rentals are within a five minute walk on Congress Avenue. There is plenty of parking on the street in front of our house.

Award-winning Franklin BBQ, Rainey Street, Famous 6th Street restaurants/bars, Austin Convention Center. Whole Foods & Target are a block away!

This is a great spot to rest and rejuvenate while you have fun or work in Austin. We're family friendly.

Walking distance to about 2 dozen restaurants / bars / coffee shops, a few blocks away from the UT football stadium and campus, and about 2 miles from downtown... yet tucked away in the nice and quiet neighborhood of Cherrywood (aka French Place). The loft is set back away back from the street with its own walkway and entrance and has a great mix of natural light and shade from the trees. Our place is in close proximity to Downtown Austin and even closer to the East Austin food, entertainment, and art scene. We're down the street from a 400 acre park with river access and a trail system that connects to the Ladybird Lake trail and boardwalk. We have a downtown view and 2 nature preserves within a 10 minute walk. All that, plus easy access to the Airport and Circuit of the Americas. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers.
