Welcome to Chorioulaki, a cosy & quaint little cottage in the Mykonian country side ! It has a lovely patio that bathes in sunlight during the morning hours and a lilliputian garden right in front! This one bedroom cottage is decorated with elements inspired by the island. Its privileged location regarding supplies, the vicinity to the relaxing Northern beaches and to Chóra in combination with its peaceful surroundings, make Choriouláki the ideal place in Mykonos for your holidays!
房源空間 As you approach Choriouláki, you will be greeted by the enormous palm tree in "Ο κήπος της γιαγιάς" //o kee-pos tes yayàs// meaning "Gramdma's Garden" and up the stairs onto the sunny patio with it's little olive tree and dinner table! Open the door and you will enter the Choriouláki //little cottage in the Mykonian idiom//. Once inside, you will be welcomed into the main room that host's the living room, the office and the kitchenette. Once you make a couple of steps deeper into the house, you will get to the double-bedroom and the "en-suite" bathroom. Now in the broader scheme, Choriouláki is adjacent to the main house but you will enjoy the utmost privacy since you have your private entrance and the outside spaces are defined by a traditional "ξερολιθιά" //kserolithiá// stonewall. Now as to the architecture, Choriouláki is built on two levels with different flooring materials so as to define the space and it's use but also to amplify the house's cooling feature: the meltémi. Because of it's orientation & surroundings, when the meltémi blows (northern Etesian wind) the use of the airconditioner becomes obsolete because all you have to do is open the little "voriadáki" (bedroom window). It was renovated in 2017 in order to refresh its look! In regards to it's location, because it is in the Mykonian country side, it is highly recommended that you rent an accommodating vehicle (except if you are avid hikers). I will be more than happy to help you with that! Choriouláki is about a 30minute hike from the waterfront of Chóra (Mykonos Town), a 17minute hike from the Supermarket, some restaurants and the closest patisserie & Pánormos Beach, a beautiful Northern Mykonian Beach, is just 40minutes away and Àgios Sóstis 50'. Of-course, via car/scooter all those distances are diminished (Àgios Sóstis is 7minutes via car/scooter)! In this case, Paránga, Paradise, Eliá and all the Southern beaches are about 13-17minutes away and just a 10minute drive to Àno Merá, the island's village which is definitely worth visiting
Choriouláki is located in the heart of the island, in the Maráthi area. Maráthi takes it name from "Μάραθος" //Márathos// which is the Greek word for fennel. If you look closely around the area you will spot some of those plants! Because of the location, away from Chóra, hotels and busy roads, Choriouláki is the ideal quiet sanctuary for most of the summer! In September/October until Early June there is a kindergarten near the house which also acts as an alarm clock at 8:30am.
