Our country home with 1 guest room and private bath is located in South County. Minutes away from Butternut Basin Ski Area, Tanglewood and all of the cultural offerings, swimming, hiking, biking, auto racing as well as award winning 5 star dining.
The home is a set in a comfortable country setting with a great fireplace for those chilly winter days. Plus, a nice deck to sit and relax on overlooking a hemlock grove and stream during the warmer seasons. This listing is for the downstairs bedroom of the house. This room features a double bed as well as a private bathroom. In addition there is a futon available should it be needed.
Guests are welcome to share the living room, kitchen and dining area as well as the deck and outside gas grill. There is a washer and dryer available for longer stays.
Due to the fact that it is my home as well there will be some interaction with guests. The choice is up to the guest. My job is to share what we have to offer and to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. *Please note I do have a cat and Smokey is willing to share a space on the futon anytime for a scratch behind the ears.
My home has a futon available if the need arises. There would be an additional charge per night. I am available to take people on tours and out for excursions should you wish to have that as an added benefit. Picnics at Tanglewood, hikes and more... Families are welcome however we are not baby safe.
I ask that there be no smoking in my home and it is a drug free property. Alcohol in moderation. Try to be in by midnight. Check in is 3pm Check out is 11am.
My life has always been working in with the public especially visitors to the Berkshire's. Therefore I enjoy meeting people and sharing what we have to offer in the Berkshires and beyond for our visitors. For the past three years I have traveled extensively to Ghana, West Africa as a volunteer with an orphanage. In addition I have my own nonprofit that is focused on work in Ghana, West Africa where I bring visitors for life changing experiences while helping change the lives of people in Ghana as they travel through Ghana. I love to travel, and the ocean is a favorite place. I am always up for an adventure, good music, good food, good theatre or a good movie. Most of all I'm a people person that has traveled all my life. I do craft shows in my down time to support the orphans selling fair trade items from my travels. For thirty plus years I worked in the retail gift and wholesale tradeshow industry. My motto in life is: "Seek the joy of being alive".
