My name is Jen and I live in Glassell Park with my Pug, Dharma. I am a SoCal native that loves music, food and traveling. If you decide to stay with me you will have the whole place to yourself. I love my neighborhood! There is so much to do in the immediate area and it's a great, laid back, friendly vibe. It takes mere minutes to drive or take the bus to York Blvd in Highland Park, where there are tons of awesome boutique stores, restaurants, record stores and bars. You can walk to the Glassell Park community pool, which is super clean, and swim and lay out all day for $3.50. The park is also right there, and it's a great spot to workout, have a picnic or just relax and read. There is also a bar just down the street that you can walk to called Verdugo Bar. They have a great beer selection and have amazing cocktails (try the hot marg)! I am just 10 minutes to downtown and only 20 minutes to Hollywood. The 2, 5, 210 and 134 are all super close and easy to get to. I would say it is an ideal spot because you are close to all the cool stuff, but get to come home to a quiet neighborhood where you can relax.
