The Owl Nest House - vacation living, farm style.

The Owl Nest sleeps up to 8 guests (6 adults and 2 kids). A 2nd level braai area seats 14 people around a 4m table. The house offers 3 bedrooms and 2 on-suite bathrooms. Note - the bathroom arrangement allow for occupation of not more than 2 couples/families. The well-equipped kitchen comes fitted with a dishwasher & 2x retro fridges. Coffee & tee is provided. Slow burning fireplace, electric blankets, heaters & camping cot. A tranquil setting on the edge of town - a true Karoo farm feeling.

This picturesque farm appeals to the adventurous spirit as there are endless opportunities for hiking, cycling and general exploration! The Gats River meanders through our breathtaking kloof, where rock pools make for a fun dip once the rains have come. It's a nature-lover's paradise!

Karoo Ridge River Lodge

Karoo Ridge River Lodge is an eco-lodge set on a 10 000 ha Conservancy. It is set in a tranquil, private valley with wonderful scenery. This rustic and romantic cottage is situated adjacent die Waenhuis restaurant, in the heart of Nieu-Bethesda. Surrounded by beautiful views, guests can access a variety of walks, Restaurants, shops and the Owl House from here. Our cottage boasts a typical Karoo style open-plan kitchen, Dover stove, living room, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, main bedroom with double bed, spare room with two single beds. Entertainment patio overlooking the courtyard and garden.

Southfield Cottage

Our peaceful Karoo farm is the perfect place to stop over, relax and be refreshed on your journey. Our neat yet cozy self-contained cottage is perfect for singles, couples or families with children. Situated adjacent to our home, the cottage has its own entrance and patio overlooking the garden and pastures. The garden is shared with our family, so expect some activity of free-range children and pets! Our farm is accessed by 7km of dirt road.

Bethesda Tower B&B

A fairy-tale tower, ideal for a romantic couple or adventurous family. The unit is a duplex. The top floor's huge round bed has 360°views, and on the middle floor are twin beds / lounge. The bathroom is on the ground floor down external spiralling stairs. A unique experience! Our rate includes a delicious breakfast, which is served from our on-site Tower Café. Dinner is available on request, at the time of booking.

Playwright's House, Nieu-Bethesda

Blaauwater Garden Cottage

On the Blaauwater farm the northern section of the wagon house (built in 1863) has been converted into the stylish Blaauwater Garden Unit 60 KM outside Graaff - Reinet. Here one can experience the peace and tranquility of the karoo.
