The House on Round-Summer & Fall Color Space Open!

Enjoy lake life on a quiet bay of one of Hayward's premier lakes. The bay is home to loons, bald eagles, owls, deer, otters, ducks, and frogs as well as an occasional bear. Beyond the bay, Round Lake is renowned for boating, fishing, and swimming at the sandbars. Take one of our provided kayaks (there's 2 of them) and make your way to the nearby sandbar or just around the bay to take in the wildlife. If you enjoy winter sports like skiing or snowmobiling, the house makes an excellent home base

Welcome to the Trailside Gökotta Forest Cottage: a modern, minimalist and serene nature cabin on the Birkie Trail system. Gökotta means 'to get up early to listen to sounds of birds and the forest'. Located right on Birkie Ridge Trailhead with close access to vast CAMBA trails, this is a nature escape for outdoor enthusiasts who love to bike, ski, hike, and bird watch. Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

Seeley Oaks A-Frame | Secluded Retreat on 40 Acres

This is a cabin-in-the-woods experience! The Seeley Oaks A-Frame is our slice of the peaceful Northwoods experience. It's on 40 private, tranquil acres (no neighbors!) with great access to all the Hayward-Cable area has to offer. It's small - intended for two adults, with the option of 2 addtl kids. We have excellent restaurants near, or grill something on the gas grill. We have some puzzles and games for those rainy days, and lots of books. We have internet and a cell phone booster to keep you connected if needed. If you want to explore downtown Hayward with its unique shops, it is a short drive (18 minutes).

Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.
