The East Cabin is quietly tucked between the beautiful Green Mountains of VT and the gorgeous Adirondacks of NY. Soak up the morning sun on your private stone patio while mother nature comes to life on the pond and fields. Take a day trip to beautiful Lake George or Historic Saratoga Springs. Grill steaks on BBQ and eat S’mores by the campfire at night. For the winter season, there are many major ski resorts close by. We also have the West Cabin available for your extended family and friends.

Hike, fish, swim nearby. Air conditioners on the main floor for the summer months. Our 9120 watt solar array powers our property. During the cold months enjoy the wood stove. All wheel drive a must in winter. We have a spacious deck by the shared pool, pergola, and a shady deck by the stream.

The Hillside Cottage is a luxury cabin with views of the Mettawee River. Located on 26 acres on a back road, it is peaceful & private. Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking or relax on the deck. This riverside retreat includes a king bed, jacuzzi tub & a kitchenette. Sitting around the fire pit with dinner cooked on the grill is the perfect ending to a long hike. Whether it’s a quick get-away or an extended vacation, the Hillside Cottage is a simple solution from a complicated life.

NEW THIS YEAR: High speed internet, Heat pumps for heat and AC throughout the house, and a new refrigerator/ freezer Secluded and beautiful, at the end of a gravel dead end road, the Swallow’s Nest is part of our organic farm and wildlife refuge. You’ll find serenity here with huge open vistas. We are two miles from the town of Brandon. Brandon has restaurants, shops, art galleries and music venues. Our home is located in MT. Tabor, Vermont, just off of Route 7, in a country setting with beautiful Mountain views of the Green Mountain National Forest, Dorset and Danby Mountains. The house is an old barn converted into a beautiful spacious home, on 4 acres. Snowmobiling from our place, plus 4 major ski areas less than 30 miles away. Hiking, fishing, swimming, golfing, and the Equestrian horse show are all nearby. as well as shopping in nearby Manchester and Rutland Vermont.

The Smithy Cottage at Consider Bardwell Farm

The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. Enjoy meeting our goats and all the local goodies and products that we can stock in your cottage.

Cozy ranch house in an historic working apple orchard. Located on RT 4 in Mendon, we are just 6 miles from Pico and 11 miles from Killington ski areas. Great restaurants are just 3 miles down the road in Rutland. Shop in our store and bakery, stroll our orchard and visit the chickens, all while enjoying some spectacular views.
