Line Dance Lessons in Nashville

We’ll start out your lesson with a beginners level dance that will get your blood pumping on the dance floor. Then we teach an intermediate level line dance to challenge your dance skills. We will always try to move at the group’s pace. We’ll also review what you have learned and take a video for you to have as a Nashville Keepsake. ** Other things to note: - If we are booked or don’t have a time slot available, please reach out. We will always try to accommodate your group! - We utilize two separate venues, within a block of each other on Broadway downtown. You will receive a *text* (at the number associated with your booking) with your class location the day of your class. - If you can’t receive texts - please send us a message and let us know! - Classes are located on the second floors. There are no elevators. - Expect to break a sweat - line dancing is a super fun workout! - Classes range in size - up to 50 people. - We recommend you wear boots with leather soles (slick bottoms) if you have them; however - anything comfortable for dancing will work as long as they’re close toed! - Parking downtown is in paid, public lots. We recommend using the app SpotHero to find parking. ** The first and only rule in line dancing is HAVE FUN!

Nashville Songwriter Experience

Do you have a great melody idea, a hilarious story or a catchy song title in your back pocket? Now’s your chance to turn it into a song! Experience a true Nashville co-write with an experienced songwriter. You’ll discover what it’s like to be in the writing room and create your own song! Bring as much or as little as you’d like to the table and I’ll guide you through the process of crafting lyrics, melodies and music. I’ll let you in on the secrets to writing great songs and answer questions about the business. I may even have some talented friends stop by whom you might recognize from The Voice or American Idol! No prior experience is necessary. At the end of the experience we’ll create a work tape, which simply put is a "rough" recording of a song with a vocal and instrument backing, at the end of the session for you to take home (digitally). If you’re interested in having your song professionally produced, then I'm always happy to connect you with several producers I know outside of this experience. I also offer discounted rates for groups or if you’d like help writing several songs as part of a package. These can be done in person or over video/voice calls. Everyone has a story to tell. Let’s put yours to music!

Learn how music & vinyl records are made

Want to learn about recording and vinyl records? This is the place! We'll start by taking an in-depth tour of our 7,000 square foot 70s themed recording studio and answer questions about the recording process. I specialize in analog recording but are also well versed in digital recording too. l'll discuss industry trends and how my business formed and has grown into other areas of the music industry. Then we'll stop into our vinyl mastering suite to learn about the first step of how vinyl records are made. We'll get super nerdy and look at grooves under a microscope and talk about the interesting world of vinyl records. We'll also talk about the "Live To Vinyl" recordings I do, which is an ultra-rare way to record music. Our next stop will be into our 3,500 square foot Vinyl Electroplating facility where you will learn all about the second step of making vinyl records. This is super behind the scenes and rarely seen by people outside of the music industry. Our last stop will be in Mara Machines, the world's largest analog tape machine restoration company. You'll see analog tape machines scattered around in various states of restoration and talk about why this company has grown and become so sought after. Other things to note Please use our side entrance as there may be a recording session at the time of the tour. Comfortable shoes are a plus, but not required. Photos are welcome, except in a couple areas which will be pointed out.

Come sing in Waylon Jennings former basement studio on Nashville’s historic music row! Over the years, stars such as Vince Gill, Maren Morris, BRELAND, Jimmy Allen, Parker Mccollom, Brother’s Osborne, Cassadee Pope, Danny Gokey, and David Archuleta have come down to The Hideout to work on their music. Fun Nashville Line Dancing Lessons

Learn fun, beginner line dances from the amazing, entertaining dance coaches at Nashville's only country dance academy, Turn Their Heads! No boring lessons or overcrowded bars. Just fun country dance lessons where even the most uncoordinated can learn. Our 60-minute class will begin with a brief introduction and the most important rule in line dancing - HAVE FUN! Your coach will then teach the first couple steps of a popular line dance in a slow, easy-to-learn way. You'll get to practice the steps until you have them figured out. Your coach will then teach the next couple steps and you'll practice and repeat until you know the entire dance! Once you have the steps mastered, your dance coach will fire up a song so you can have fun showing off your new dance moves. Your coach will be at the front dancing and providing cues in case you forget a step. As you perform the steps you'll feel more comfortable and confident. By the end of the song you'll be kicking and turning like you've been line dancing your whole life! You will learn two fun dances you can use downtown at the honky tonks, at wedding receptions or at one of our social dance events. We purposely choose easy and popular country line dances so you can join in the fun and wow everyone. Or you can start the dance for others to follow. Country Swing Dancing with the Stars

You are the star! You'll first be entertained and enthralled as you watch a pair of talented country swing dancers from Turn Their Heads Nashville Country Dance Lessons. Then you'll learn two step & country swing dancing yourself through a combination of dancing with the instructors, with your partner (if you bring one) or with others in class. This incredibly fun form of partner dance is very popular in a few areas around the country with Nashville being one of the hot spots. Take a piece of Nashville home with you along with some new dance skills to wow your friends. This experience is designed for novices or complete beginners. By the end of the experience, you will have the skills to legitimately country swing dance at a dance hall, wedding or just in your kitchen or really anywhere rock, pop or country music is played. After introductions you'll get to watch two top-notch dancers perform a variety of moves, dips and spins. After that you will pair up with your partner if you brought one, or another participant in the class. Throughout the class you'll get to dance with the instructors too. You'll be sweating and learning and having a blast with our patient and down-to-earth dance coaches who love to teach country swing. It's a simple yet incredibly fun dance and you'll be amazed at how much you can do at the end of the session.

I will greet you at the door and take a look or listen to what you’re working on. I will guide you on how to make it better. I will do my best as a professional to leave you knowing how to improve both your song and your craft.
