02-Apr-2021 - I strongly recommend you DON'T try to use Uber or any other ride-sharing services. They don't operate reliably in the entire state of Quintana Roo (QR or QRoo). The Taxi Union is very powerful and uses mafia-like tactics. They managed to have enacted the ride-sharing airport ban in 2017. If you try to catch an Uber, you risk getting caught up in a dispute between taxi drivers and your Uber driver. You will find that a message will appear in the app saying something like "No service in this area". It may let you attempt to book a ride, only to make you walk 15 minutes to meet them

UPDATE 16-JUN-21: Due to COVID-19, the ADO bus service has been suspended indefinitely. Alternatives include a pre-booked bus, taxi, or car rental. Taxis can be expensive, so I'd recommend looking at pre-booking with a hotel transport on the Cancun airport's website (https://www.cancunairport.com/transportation.html). The apartment's address is "Cerrada Alborada, Joaquín Zetina* Gasca, Quintana Roo, Mexico". It appears you can get a bus for around ~USD 15.00 one way per person. Note: The new municipality "Puerto Morelos" was created in 2018. Maps still call the area "Joaquína Zetina".
