Sightseeing
It’s free and there’s so much to see and do here. If you don’t have a lot of time and/or are not interested in the museum, it’s a great place to cut through just to take a look at the Victorian architecture in the main hall. If you have longer, take the lift up to the roof terrace for great views of the city including the Castle.

A must see-do-visit for anyone coming to Edinburgh. You can walk through, up and/or round (or drive if you want). Great views of the city and right next to the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth and the bottom of The Royal Mile.

Lovely little Indian restaurant only a short walk from my house and on the way into town. It boasts a quirky Charles Rennie Mackintosh-style interior and I love the Chicken Exotica, Pathia and the Red Fort Chicken. Probably best to book!
