Right around the corner from the apartment is this conveniently located supermarket. Open 7 days a week, this is one of the most affordable grocery stores in the area.

Rockefeller Center is in the heart of Manhattan! It can be conveniently accessed via public transportation, but I recommend making the beautiful 40 minute walk from the apartment!

If you love science & nature, this is a must-see! It's about a 35 minute walk from the apartment or you can take the M79 bus across Central Park. Highly recommended, and my favorite in all of NY!

From the apartment, take the downtown 6 train to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall and it's about a 10 minute walk from there to the 9/11 memorial. Somber, yet impactful and historical, it's worth a visit.

I highly recommend walking from the apartment to one of the most visited parts of Central Park. Don't forget to bring your camera for the seal exhibitions, and check the web for further details.
