Here's the closest/easiest place to hop on the streetcar. It's about a ten minute walk from the house. The streetcar schedules are posted online.
Just keep in mind, it's not the nicest place in town (nor the worst, by far). So, either walk in a group or drive to/from the streetcar stop if you're planning to be there late at night.
